Impressions


After the moribund man heard the words whispered by the preacher for a third time, he turned his head and expired. The preacher got up and proceeded to the door, without praying or reciting anything. 
     The grievers stood quietly at a convenient distance. Not a cry nor a lamentation; assuming the departed soul was making its blissful journey to heaven. 
      As the preacher was about to step out, the widow wanted to ask him one last question: 
     “Will I ever see him again?” 
     “Well, if you persist in denying the existence of God, the way he did…”
